Training Delivery Specialist

Institute for the Future (IFTF) is a 54-year-old nonprofit research and education organization dedicated to helping organizations and communities systematically think about the future in order to make better choices today. IFTF’s training program, IFTF Foresight Essentials, is a comprehensive portfolio of strategic foresight training tools based upon 50 years of IFTF best practices. IFTF Foresight Essentials cultivates the mindset and skillset that enable individuals and organizations to foresee future forces, identify emerging imperatives, and develop world-ready strategies. IFTF Foresight Essentials is uniquely customizable for businesses, government agencies, and social impact organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION


IFTF is looking for a Training Delivery Specialist who will be akin to the symphony conductor of our learning experiences. In this support role, this individual will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in ensuring the successful delivery of the IFTF Foresight Essentials program’s various learning offerings. This includes producing our public trainings (IFTF Foresight Essentials, IFTF Design Futures, IFTF Scenario Building) as well as our custom trainings for organizations. They will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing teaching materials and communications, scheduling, and producing live events (occasionally in multiple time
zones).


Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver/produce live online and live in-person events on virtual platforms and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise (e.g., Zoom, Miro, and other collaboration platforms)
  • Oversee and update our library of diverse training materials (e.g., agendas, PPTs, Miro boards)
  • Partner with Program Director and faculty to identify best practices to continually upskill and deliver virtual learning at the highest possible level to create an engaging and effective learning experience
  • Draft and deliver learner communications
  • Act as a SME to the learner related to all available learning assets/resource/platforms
  • Maintain program training calendar (creating calendar events with Zoom links and inviting learners to events)
  • Confirm staffing for trainings and events
  • Schedule rehearsals and debriefs for internal event team.
  • Coordinate onsite, face-to-face events such as catering, A/V, etc.
  • Coordinate with partners, clients, vendors, and other service providers for events
  • Coordinate team travel and accommodations when necessary
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the program team as needed

 

EDUCATION + DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

5-7 years of event production, administration, or coordination experience. Strong written ability is very important. Strong inter-personal communications skills required. Ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment. Experience in managing multiple projects across a diverse and distributed organization a plus.

  • Great interpersonal and team communication skills in multiple media—face-to-face, online, etc.
  • Good networking skills to build bridges with other program staff, researchers, and all support staff.

  • Experience with Miro
