What We Do
Daria Lamb
Ambassador to the Future
Daria strives to embolden corporations, governments and organizations to think ahead on the 5 to 20 year horizon and take action accordingly. As IFTF's Ambassador to the Future, she not only introduces people to future forecasts, but also teaches groups to use futures thinking skills and systematic thinking to radically inform decisions. Daria has witnessed missed opportunities in the intersection of commerce, technology and social impact, and strives to build multiple-constituent projects that address these gaps.
She joined IFTF after 5 years at The Conference Board, an economic think tank based in New York. There she led their research working group program and tackled projects on diverse topics such as Future Skilling the Workforce and Digital Knowledge Transfer. In 2014, she co-authored "Cultural Fluency: How Culture Shapes Talent in China and Implications for Global Companies" and "Creating the Right Voice and Content for Social Media."
A social scientist at heart, Daria studied theoretical economics at the University of Chicago and was the recipient of an English Speaking Union fellowship to study at Adcote College in Shrewsbury, England. Her research interests include how individuals and organizations make decisions. In 2017, Daria was named a Fellow of the World Innovation Society and continues to serve as a Fellow connecting industry with provocative research.
