IFTF + You

IFTF works closely with corporations, government agencies, foundations, and non-profit organizations around the world to create custom foresight and immersive experiences that can turn that foresight into action. Here are just some of the possibilities:

Custom Views of the Future
IFTF will work with your organization to design a custom research plan for your unique window on the future. We can set up a custom signals database, design scenarios that bring your strategic choices to life, and develop custom forecasts and custom roadmaps based on our frameworks or yours.

Team Processes for Making the Future You Want
For 44 years, IFTF has pioneered workshop processes that develop foresight as input to strategy. We can engage your team, your organizational leaders, or your community stewards in thoughtful, exciting, and immersive experiences, using artifacts from the future, immersive videos, and site visits to leading edge innovators. We can even share our toolkit to train you to run your own foresight workshops.

Collaborative Strategies for Engaging the World
In a hyper-connected world, IFTF can help you engage people around the world in making the future. We work with a network of global research partners that we can engage for diverse perspectives and on-the-ground research around the world. We can also help you run collaborative forecasting games, using our Foresight Engine platform or design a forecasting platform or serious game to meet your own needs.

Make the Future
Even if you’re not a member of one of our programs or a sponsor of a project, you can work with IFTF in lots of ways. Follow our calendar of public events and join us for the conversation and insights. Attend one of our co-working days at IFTF to meet our staff and network with local innovators. Suggest a public foresight collaboration that could make a difference in your community. Watch for our annual summer internship announcements, too.

IFTF honors the memory of its former president, Roy Amara, with a fund for projects designed to extend our practice of participatory foresight, bringing our tools and methodologies to all kinds of communities. To date, the fund has supported the BodyShock competition for ideas to improve global health over the next 3-10 years by transforming our bodies and lifestyles; the California Dreams competition for best ideas for the future of California over the next 3-10 years; and two Youth Futures pilots in collaboration with East Palo Alto Charter School/Collective Roots and the Hoopa Reservations Elementary School.
